W.J. Miles

W.J. Cap Miles, age 72, of Rockford, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at his home from natural causes. The son of Frederick T. & Mari Ann (Robinson) Miles, he was born on November 4,1945 in Holland, MI. A veteran, Cap served with the Michigan National Guard and was part of the federalized response to restore order in Detroit following the riots in 1967. For over 40 years he worked at Williams Form Engineering and enjoyed motorcycling, camping and fishing, wood-carving, Scuba diving, and his beloved Detroit Lions. Surviving are his children, Kevin (Lori) Miles of Gaines Twp, and Wendy (Paul) Webster of Parker, Colorado; grandchildren Lydia, Maggie, Anna, and Aaron Webster, Hannah and Turner Miles; fiancee Diane Barry of Kentwood; brother Steve Miles of Middletown, CA; and several nephews. Cap's family invites relatives and friends to celebrate his life at his home from 1 to 4pm on Saturday, Feb 17, 2018 at 8210 Bush Dr NE, Rockford, MI 49341.
