Marlene Staffen-Rendall, age 80, of Greenville, passed away Friday evening, May 16, 2014 at home under the loving care of her family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Charles Melvin & Naomi E. (Brooks) Woten, she was born on August 8, 1933 in Belding.
A devoted wife and mother, Marlene also worked outside of the home, retiring as an accountant from the Baldwin Family Health Center. She enjoyed reading, golfing, and league bowling and attended Living Faith Family Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Lyle Staffen and Richard Rendall; a son, David Staffen; three sisters, Armada Sawdy, Judy Woten, and Charlene Barrett; and a brother, Bud Woten.
Surviving are three sons, Charles & Bonnie Staffen of Greenville; Mitchell Staffen of Branch, and Robert & Tammy Staffen of Jerome, Idaho; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Louis & Phyllis Staffen of Gowen, and Carl Sawdy of South Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Marcia & Jim Sizemore of Carnation, Washington. She was dearly loved my several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family invites relatives and friends to celebrate Marlene's life at a memorial gathering-luncheon on June 7, 2014 from 12-2 p.m. at Living Faith Family Church, 2543 S. Greenville Road, Greenville (just north of Sidney Road on M-91 before Turk Lake).
