Wilma Lattimer

Wilma Jean (Perkins) Lattimer, age 85, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2020. She was born August 28, 1935, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Lorraine Perkins. Wilma enjoyed cooking and gardening, and most of all caring for others, especially children. She ran a private day care center for many years out of her home and was one of the most hospitable people ever. Survivors include her two daughters, Zellean Perkins Sims and Candace Perkins Cage; grandchildren, Abdul, Nakajabu, and Ahmad Sims, Jawahn Perkins, and Jayla Cage; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Wilma was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine; son, Carl Perkins; and special cousin, Carrie Conley. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center on Fuller Avenue and to her close friends Sophina Washington and Deloris Ware. Per Wilma's wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial service details will be posted as soon as they become available.
