William M. "Wild Bill" Greenhoe, age 73, of Edmore, passed away at home Thursday morning, April 18, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hospice. The son of Carlton John & Ila Rose (Borton) Greenhoe, he was born on February 21, 1940 at Cedar Lake. A graduate of Vestaburg High School. Bill retired from Acousti Engineering where he worked as an asbestos abatement and removal contractor.
On July 20, 1968, in Crystal, he married Margo Sisson and together they enjoyed nearly 45 years of marriage. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taxidermy, as well as wood working.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Nicholas Greenhoe.
Surviving are his wife, Margo Greenhoe of Edmore; his children, Julie & Greg Atwood, William Greenhoe, and Dale Greenhoe, all of Ovid, Jane & Scott Miller of Elsie, Rhoda Sisson of Prescott, Jon & Laura Greenhoe of Edmore, and Brett & Clara Greenhoe of Charleston, Illinois; his siblings, Richard & Sharon Greenhoe of Johannesburg, Steve & Sue Greenhoe of Orleans, Cheryl & Roy Finch of Lakeview, and Randall & Jean Greenhoe of Six Lakes; eighteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life gathering on May 4, 2013 at the Home Township Hall, Edmore, beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory to either Hospice of Michigan (Big Rapids Office) or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place.
