William Dripchak, Jr.

William Dale Dripchak, Jr, known affectionately as Bill, passed on November 24, 2023, just five days shy of his 75th birthday. Born in Hartford, CT on November 29, 1948, Bill was a compassionate soul, with a dedicated spirit, a smart mind, and an enduring sense of humor that brought laughter and joy to all those fortunate enough to know him. A devout Catholic, Bill loved his faith and practiced with conviction and compassion. Bill was a successful small business owner in the retail vending machine industry. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sharing a movie with his family, attending a show with friends, playing tennis or participating in exercise classes. His compassionate heart led him to volunteer for hospital visitation for the sick, bringing comfort and companionship to those in need. Bill had a special affection for his adopted city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, which he fondly referred to as a “small big town”. Bill was preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Agnes Dripchak, his brother Mark and sister Marcia. His memory will be cherished by his children Amy, Paul, and Scott, his sister KJ Perron, and his beloved late wife Shari. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gilda's Club of Lansing. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on February 8, 2024, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Grand Rapids.
