Mr. William H. "Bill" Borie, 52, of Alma, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. He was born on February 11, 1956 in Lansing, MI, to William and Margaret Borie. He grew up in the Maple Rapids-Middleton area and attended Fulton schools. Bill was an avid drag-race fan and worked for Hitachi in Edmore and Car Quest in St. Louis.
His children, Marjorie N. "Nikki" Borie of Breckenridge, Stephanie Borie, and William Borie both of Idaho survive Bill. His two stepdaughters, Misty Fletcher and Monica Burnett, will fondly remember him. Also surviving are his father, William Borie; brothers and sisters, Sandy (Tom) Saari, Pat (Randy) Loudenbech, Rick (Mary) Borie, Michael Dean (Shaila) Borie, Marjorie (Jeff) Curtis, Tami (Marty) Booth, and Michael Borie; 26 nieces and nephews, and two step-grandchildren.
His wife, Sandy K. Borie, and his mother Margaret E. Borie preceded him in death.
A memorial for Bill will be held this Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fulton Township Hall, 3425 W. Cleveland, just east of Perrinton on M-57.
