In loving memory of Wendy Kay Morris, born on November 23, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and passed away on June 5, 2025. Wendy was a resilient woman of deep faith, whose generosity of spirit touched all who knew her. Her faith was her guiding light, offering her strength and peace throughout her life.
Wendy spent her working years in home healthcare, self-employed and later retiring from Aegin Place in 2012. She was much more than her occupation, she was a beacon of hope and comfort to those she cared for. Funny and creative, Wendy had a knack for bringing joy to the most challenging situations. Her ability to overcome whatever life threw at her was an inspiration to many.
In her personal life, Wendy was passionate about her hobbies which included baking, canning, gardening, attending powwows, and camping. She had recently discovered a love for jeeping. Her home in White Cloud, Michigan, previously residing in Morley, Michigan, was often filled with the scent of freshly baked goods and the sounds of laughter. But what mattered most to Wendy was her family. She loved dancing in her powwows, gardening, canning, and camping, but her family was always at the center of her heart.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (James) Matheny, and Brittany Morris; a son, Michael Morris; her step-daughter, Christine (Jim) Weigand; her "adopted daughter," Star Reinhart; her sister, Joan MacDonald; her grandchildren, Deserai (Thomas) Reichard, Dio (Shawny) Hanes, and Destini (Travis) Murtland. Several great grandchildren. Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Howard Johnson; her mother, Velma Johnson; her brother, Gary Johnson; and her beloved husband, Jerry Morris.
As we remember Wendy, let us hold close her spirit of resilience, laughter, and generosity. We invite you to share your memories of Wendy and upload photos to the memorial page at: www.MichiganCremation.com. Each story and photo shared will serve as a comfort and reminder of the beautiful life she lived.
