Wendell D. Bahs, age 87, of Traverse City, passed away on March 13, 2021. He was born February 7, 1934, in Battle Creek, MI. Wendell is survived by his wife, Christine Bahs of Traverse City; daughters, Teresa R. Farah and Husband of Grand Rapids; Tina M. Erskine of Austin, TX; step-daughters, Rachelle Jenkins and Husband of KY; Kimberly Porlier and Husband of IN, Deborah A. Kelley of Manistee; step-son, Donald L. Bailey of Traverse City; sisters, Vonda Bauer and Husband of KS, Catherine Bahs of Kentwood; brother- in- law, John Sellers of Granger, IN; sister- in-law, Lori Sellers of Granger, IN; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Sterling and Ruth Bahs; step-daughter, Judith E. Kueker; step-son, John Bailey; and brother who passed as an infant. Wendell was self employed as a Dairy Farmer until 1971. Soon after, he owned and operated a sales company with his first wife Jocelyn Jean Sellers- Bahs, until her death in 1988. Wendell continued in sales with present wife Christine Bahs until 1999 when they moved to Free Soil, MI. In Free Soil, Wendell and Christine enjoyed the many quiet and peaceful walks around the lake and through the woods. He also very much enjoyed singing gospel music with Christine and spending time with church family. Some of his best time spent was traveling full time for 10 years in their RV.
