Wayne Miller

Wayne Charles Miller, age 76, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at home under the loving care of his family and Elara Caring Hospice. The son of Lester Elwood & Elizabeth M. (Graham) Miller, he was born on November 3, 1943 in Belding. On November 7, 1964, he married Bonnie Louise Thompson and together, they raised three children and enjoyed nearly 56 years of marriage. Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing, found pleasure in catering and roasting pigs and chicken for barbeques, and had been the Montcalm Township Fire Chief. During the 80's and 90's, Wayne & Bonnie were fortunate to host several foreign exchange students. They invited Pablo from Madrid, Spain, Sylvia from Frankfurt, Germany, and Lars from Berlin, Germany into their home and lives, and continued lifelong friendships after they returned home. After over twenty years, he retired from the former Electrolux Home Products after working in both the Gibson plant in Belding and later in Greenville. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Sally Miller. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Miller, of Greenville; their three sons, Michael Miller, David & Jennifer Miller, and Jon & Samantha Miller; ten grandchildren, Anthony Miller, Gary Miller, Felipe Miller, David Miller Jr., Ethan Miller, Tiffany Miller, Maverick Miller, Abigail Miller, Matthew Skinner, and Graceanne Skinner; three great-grandchildren, Tyson Bowen, Brealynn Bowen, and Brantley Bowen; his sisters, Linda & Kenneth Rogeven, Mary & Larry Scott, and Beth & Randal Schumacher; his mother- in-law, Lucille Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Louella & Robert Hubble, James & Brenda Thompson, and Dan & Barb Thompson; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, J.C. & Dorothy Snyder and Tom & Julie Fisher. Visitation with the family is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church, 12501 Montcalm Avenue N.E., Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020.
