January 24, 1948 — February 14, 2020

Wayne "Larry" Lee, age 72, of Holland, Mi., passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2020. He was born January 24, 1948, in Detroit, Mi., to the late Donald & Lenore (Phyilliaere) Lee. Wayne proudly served his country, in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He also was very proud to serve on VFW Post 2144 Honor Guard for many years. Larry spent over 40 years building boats, with many of those years working next to his Brothers. Or as otherwise known, "Those crazy "Lee" boys". His love for the Beatles from his teenage years, carried throughout his lifetime. Resulting in his belief that Karaoke was invented just for him! Larry was absolutely dedicated to his family, lottery tickets, beer, cute girls, and his Detroit Tigers! And he would always remind you that "during your lifetime, you walk down many roads..."` Survivors, whom he loved so much, include his three daughters, Becky (Paul) Morales, Amanda (William) Deur, & Katie Lee; grandchildren, Joseph (Laurel) Lee, Andrew (Ellen) Moore, Morgan (Kody) Lee-Nemeth, Emily (Chase) Moore, Bryce Deur, McKenna Lee, Austin Pikaart, & Hailey Deur; 3 (and counting) great grandchildren; siblings, Darlene (Leroy) VanSickle & Jack (Shirley) Lee; and many other relatives and friends Wayne was preceded in death by, his father, Donald Lee; mother, Lenore (Phyilliaere) Lee; siblings, Donald Lee, Richard "Dicky" Lee, Lorraine (Jesse) Merriweather, & Linda (Estil) Perrigan. A military memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at VFW Post 2144, 175 West 8th Street, Holland, MI 49423, at 2:00 p.m. with luncheon following at 3:00 p.m. ALL ARE WELCOME! The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of his friends and family who ensured that he knew how much he was loved.
