Lifelong Gulliver, Michigan resident, Gustave Warren MacGregor, loving husband, father and grandfather went to be with his lord and savior at the age of 96 on August 27, 2016. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
The son of Charles & Sarah (Borg) MacGregor, he was born on December 20, 1919, in Gulliver. He was raised in Gulliver on the family farm along with his 16 brothers and sisters.

Warren married his high school sweetheart Billie Lorraine Carefelle on October 24,1941. Warren enlisted in the army during WWII and served as a prison guard. After the war he returned to Gulliver and raised three children, Laurie, Patti and Michael. He was employed by Inland Lime and Stone Company for 40 years until he retired in 1984.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and hunting with his son, daughter and grandsons. His favorite hunting season was in November and he hunted deer every year. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He loved being outside in the woods and enjoyed watching the birds at their many bird feeders. He enjoyed all types of music.
He especially enjoyed dancing the night away with the love of his life, Billie. He was really proud of the dance contests that they won.
He was a member of the American Legion, Amvets and the Knights of Columbus.
Warren is survived by his beloved wife, Billie; daughters, Laurie (Gary) Dopke, Patti Beaudre; son, Michael (Becky )MacGregor; grandchildren, Mike (Lisa) Dopke, Nicole (Adam) Fairchild, Heather MacGregor, Patrick (Lauren )Dopke, Mike (Ashley) MacGregor, and Adrian Beaudre; great grandchildren, Brittany Machetta, Elisabeth MacGregor, Alison Dopke, Kyle Dopke, Taylor Fairchild, and Amber Fairchild; one sister, Caroline Johnson; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 11 brothers; four sisters; and his great grandson Dominik Fairchild.
A memorial service of celebration for the lives of Warren and Duane MacGregor will be held at Wood Cemetery, in Gulliver, at 1pm on Saturday, September 3rd. There will be bagpipes and drummers. Following the service there will be a gathering of the clan at the Gulliver Community Center followed by the MacGregor family reunion. A funeral mass and burial service will be held at a future date.
