Wanetta Slater

Wanetta Leota Slater, age 82, of Lowell, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Fountain View of Lowell surrounded by family. The daughter of Howard & Leota (Tryon) Myers, she was born on October 4, 1935 in Grand Rapids. Wanetta was surrounded by family as she passed gently, into the the hands of God, following a courageous battle against health issues that never got her down. Wanetta loved traveling, casinos, and visiting with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ellene Marie Trumbull; and five wonderful sisters. Wanetta is remembered by her children, Catherine & James Zoerman, Howard & Nancy Slater, Barbara Nelson, Eric Slater, and Ken Slater; 10 Loving grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her beloved younger siblings, Patricia Miller, and James Myers; as well as numerous loved nieces and nephews. A memorial service in Wanetta's honor will take place at a later date. Wanetta loved traveling, casinos, and visiting with her family.
