Walter Pixley

Walter John Pixley Sr. age 72 passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 27, 2015. Walter was born January 18, 1943 in Grand Rapids,and worked at Kelvinator until they closed the shop around 2000. Walter was a good man and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. His hobbies included bowling, cooking, fishing and hunting. He was a loving father to his children. Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Hiram Pixley & Mary (Sobota) Pixley. He is survived by a sister Wanda (Jerry)(Pixley) Graves. Also surviving are his children; Laurie (Jeff)(Pixley) Shepard, Michael (Vivian) Pixley, Walter (Johnny) and Jennifer Pixley Jr., Walter J.F. Pixley, Angel Pixley and Kyia (Pixley) Hanson. Walter was also a loving father to many other children throughout their lives to include, Roman Cutler, Tanica Cummings and Tara Mechem. Walter has 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Honoring his wishes cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care.
