Walter J. Freiberg, age 90, of Lansing, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Hospice of Lansing. The son of Walter & Margaret (Schutt) Freiberg, he was born on August 24, 1926 in Jackson. A memorial service for Walter will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Martin Luther Chapel, 444 Abbott Rd., East Lansing. A committal service with full military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta. 444 Abbott Rd., East Lansing.
