Walter Melvin Baker, age 78, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at home. Born on November 29, 1946 in Battle Creek. Walter was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. Committal services, with military honors, are at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
