Vondalee Wohlford

Vondalee "Von" Wohlford, age 81, of Big Rapids and Wyoming, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born on December 4, 1939, in Grand Rapids, to Theodore & Jennie (Hanna) Newman. Von was a 1958 graduate of Grandville High School. Von worked for Walmart in her latter years, and developed many friendships during that time. Von worked in sales and customer service, and owned her own insurance agency at one time. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, which was usually around a kitchen table filled with food that she had prepared. Friends and family meant everything to her, as she did to us. Surviving are her son, Ted Wohlford; grandsons, Jack & Ben Wohlford; as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June, 20, 2021 at Union Ave Community of Christ Church, 2140 Union Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507, with Reverend Collin Zehr Officiating. The celebration of her life will include a light luncheon prepared and provided by her family of some of their favorite recipes of hers.
