Virginia Moses

Virginia Thelma Moses, age 93, of Blanchard, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Hospital in Lansing with her children at her side. The daughter of George & Clara (Russell) Palmer, she was born on April 11, 1932 at the family farm in Fremont Township, Isabella County. After graduating high school, on September 17, 1950, she married Earl E. Moses and together they shared over sixty years of marriage and raised three children. As a pastor’s wife, she helped her husband as he served Assembly of God churches in Gaylord and Cass City, taught Sunday School, and volunteered in other ministries. A devoted wife and mother, Virginia also worked outside the home in a variety of careers including as a retail clerk in a Christian bookstore and selling Avon. She was a long-time member of Parkside Assembly of God. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pastor Earl E. Moses on July 31, 2011. Surviving are her children, Allen & Tammy Moses of Blanchard, Priscilla & Philip Lundquist of Mecosta, and Linda Baird of Blanchard; six grandchildren, David & Nina D. Baird of Novi, William & Heather Baird of Mt. Pleasant, Kolina & Joseph Mako of Mecosta, Karl Lundquist, Amanda Moses, and Kyle & Kali Moses; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Parkside Assembly of God, 302 Pine Avenue, Alma, Michigan, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pastor Ryan Tice will officiate and a time of food and fellowship will immediately follow the ceremony in the church hall. Graveside committal services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Ferris Center Cemetery near Vestaburg. Flowers and sympathy gifts are appreciated, as would contributions to the Parkside Assembly of God in Virginia’s memory. Envelopes will be available at the church.
