Mrs. Virginia Elaine King, age 87, formerly of Greenville, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 15, 2008 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. The daughter of Charles & Fannie (Munro) Fuller, she was born on April 16, 1921 in Greenville.
On June 16, 1942, in Greenville, she married Harold Frederick King and together they made their home in Greenville and raised one daughter.
Virginia retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Company and had been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cleveland-Wolverton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Greenville. While she enjoyed genealogy, antiques, crocheting, as well as playing cards and board games, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold F. King on Oct. 24, 1975; a brother, Charles Fuller; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Fuller.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah E. & Joseph A. Majinska III of Eagle; two grandchildren, Emily Majinska, and Joseph & Corrie Majinska IV, all of Lansing; siblings-in-law, Larry & Mildred King Sr., Arvin & Audrey King, all of Greenville, and Marilyn & Maurice Kimmel of Bostwick Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 from the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with burial following at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. The Rev. Steve Charnley, pastor of the Greenville First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
