Violet Linscott

Violet A. Linscott, age 89, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday evening, January 8, 2017 from Our Place Cares in Greenville. The daughter of Max Gilbert & Loretta Eleanor (Arthur) Patterson, she was born on May 26, 1927 in Lansing. On September 16, 1973, in Carson City, Nevada, she married Forest G. Linscott and together they made their home in Nevada until Forest passed away on May 22, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Gilbert Patterson; and a brother-in-law, John Pellerito. After Forest's death, she made her home in Greenville, attended Beth Haven Baptist Church, and enjoyed sewing, crafts, and playing the organ. Surviving are her sister, Joyce Pellerito of Fenwick; and many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Beth Haven Baptist Church, 1158 W. Carson City Road (M-57), Sheridan , with the Rev. Kevin Crowell, pastor of Beth Haven Baptist Church officiating. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions to Our Place Cares would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the church.
