Vicki Blakemore

Vicki L. (Wallace) Blakemore, age 57, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. She was born on August 19, 1963, in Albion. Vicki graduated from Lakeview High School in Battle Creek. She worked for many years at Charter Communications and later Pine Rest where she met many of her friends. Vicki enjoyed reading, trips to the casino, traveling, shopping, and hanging out with her family and friends, especially the Norton's who were a second family to her. Above all else, Vicki enjoyed spending her time with her grand babies - Noah and Ruby. She was blessed to be their nanny for the first few years of their life and loved when she would come over to baby-sit them because that meant she was bringing treats. Survivors include her children, Jessica (Matt) McCallumore and William Oscar Blakemore IV; siblings, Julie VanSchoick, Michelle Bender, Scott (Val) Hulbert, Debra Hulbert and Kathy Hulbert Richardson; and her ex-husband, Bill Blakemore and his family. She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Wallace. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Emanuel Hospice. A Celebration of Life will take place at Hager Park, 8134 28th Ave., Jenison, MI on Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 1:30pm - 5:00pm. We will be set up near the front entrance of the park in the Devries and Vander Laan community rooms. This event will be open house style so come anytime.
