Vernon Gebben

Vernon Gebben, 86, of passed away on April 5, 2020 at Resthaven Maple Wood Cottages under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Holland. The son of Duke & Anna (Dykema) Gebben, he was born on February 23, 1934 in Zeeland. On September 7, 1956,in Zeeland, he married Linda Gebben, who survives. Together, they enjoyed 63 years of marriage and raised three children. Vernon was the definition of an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hiking, canoeing, and fishing. Vernon was an adventurous soul who liked to lead and teach and served as a Boy Scout leader. Vernon most enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Vernon is survived by his wife, Linda Gebben; children, Susan & Jeff Bordelon, Dick & Mary Gebben, and Charles & Vicki Gebben; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Stan Gebben; sister, Donna Rehea; nieces & nephews; and many other friends and family.
