Verda enjoyed living the last years of her life at her favorite spot on Baldwin Lake, along with her flower garden. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida and out west. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Greenville, with Pastor Steve Charnley officiating. Instead of flowers, Verda would have appreciated contributions in her memory to the First United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Greenville, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Honoring Verdas wishes, cremation has taken place and private interment will be in Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore.
