Vance David Cole, age 60, of Greenville, Michigan, formerly of Neptune City, New Jersey, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 4, 2013 at home surrounded by his family and under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Clifford & Ethel (Glashan) Cole, he was born on March 16, 1953 in Neptune City, New Jersey, where he graduated from Neptune City High School. He owned Cozy Coles Luncheonette, where he met Terry Gibson and they married on December 8, 1979 and made their home in New Jersey until relocating to Michigan. Vance had also worked as a union pipefitter with Plumbers & Pipefitters Local No. 9 in New Jersey, until he became disabled in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents; his parents-in-law; a brother, Harry P. Cole; and a niece, Tracey. Surviving are his wife, Terry L. Cole; his three children, Joshua D. Cole, Jacqueline (Kevin) Croff, and Claire J. Cole; five grandchildren, Taylor, Jamie, Hunter, Henry, and Vance D. Cole II; a brother, Rev. Dr. Clifford W. (Susan) Cole of Natick, Massachusetts; as well as several siblings-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
