Valoria Pollard

Valoria (Valorie) Ricky Pollard, age 69 of Battle Creek, MI, passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital on February 19, 2020. Valorie, as she liked to be called, was born on February 28, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois to the union of the late Oliver Carter and Christine Gordon. Valorie spent her time as a homemaker caring for her family and was a faithful member of her church. She loved to play cards and games. She also loved to travel and was always ready for a road trip. She is survived by her 5 children, daughters, Sabrina Pollard and Katherina Pollard; sons, Michael (Wanda) Pollard, Andrew (Stacy) Hardney, and Washee(Tanika) Hardney; her partner, Alvin Holmes; and her 7 grandchildren, Ieshia, Cody, Walter, Zavion, Zira, Genesis, and Ian. She is proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Diane; and 3 grandchildren, Christopher Griffin Jr., Zander Pollard, and Zaya Pollard. A celebration of life will take place at 12:00 p.m. on February 28, 2020, at Maranatha Church of God, 400 Wabascon Rd. Battle Creek, MI.
