Valerie Ingersoll

Valerie Sue Long-Ingersoll, age 36, of Sand Lake, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 9, 2014. The daughter of Rosemary (DeVries) & Anthony J. Long, Jr., she was born on February 23, 1978 in Grand Rapids. Valerie Sue had worked as a certified nurses aide at both the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans and for Spectrum Health. She is survived by her husband, Steve Ingersoll; a daughter, Cassandra "Cassie" Long and her fiance, Forest Rogers; a son, David Tyler; her mother, Rose & John Crandall; her father, Anthony J. Long, Jr.; a brother, Jayson & Dorie Long; and many nephews and nieces. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Greenville Bible Methodist Church, 929 Greenbrier Street, Greenville, with the Rev. Phillip Mills officiating. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions to assist with expenses would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the church and the funeral home.
