Tyler Lee Workman, age 37, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 1, 2022. The son of Denise Houghton and Jeffrey Workman, he was born on July 13, 1984 in Greenville, graduated from Tri-County High School, and attended Grand Valley State University.
Tyler was employed as a superintendent with Total Fire Protection and loved fishing, as well as duck and deer hunting. He enjoyed watching University of Michigan football.
He was preceded in death by his three grandparents, James Workman, Sr., and Kenneth & Renee Grundy; and an uncle, Mark Houghton.
Surviving are his parents, Denise Houghton & Michael Ursul, and Jeffery & Susan Workman; siblings, Travis & Kelly Workman, and their children, Ava Workman, Wyatt Workman, and Elsie Workman; Joe Miles, Brandi Miles, and her children, Jordan Mottet and Parker Mottet; and Michael James Ursul; grandparents, Lloyd & Mazel Houghton, and Lillian Jean Workman; aunts and uncles, Esther Houghton, Annette & Mark Fifield, Jereme Houghton, James & LouAnn Workman, Jerry & Kathy Workman, Jonathan Workman, Jody & Larry Haagsma, Julie & Jerry Fraley, Joseph & Jim Workman-Young; and many cousins, co-workers, and friends.
Visitation with the family is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Huggard Bible Church, 8860 21 Mile Road, Sand Lake, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, with Pastor Jonathan Clear officiating. A luncheon will follow the ceremony. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of ones' choice.
