Trenton David Geldersma, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023. Born March 29, 1938 to his late parents, Duke and Mina Geldersma, Trent grew up in Grand Rapids for most of his youth. His family moved to Campbell Lake in Caledonia where he met his wife, Glenda Manning. Together they bought property and built their beautiful home on the Flat River just north of Lowell and raised three children.
Trent worked 25 years and retired from Attwood Corp where he ran their injection molding department. Trent loved the outdoors. He successfully hunted everything from moose to coyote. He was always at home on or near water. He was well known for his fishing skills -big lake salmon to small lake pan fish. He could catch them all when others couldn't. He traveled to many countries all over the world and took trips and cruises with Glenda and many of their friends. He loved growing large vegetable gardens. He even carried on his grandfather's and his mother's love of growing dahlias and roses. He loved watching children laugh and play in his sprinklers and swim in the rivers. He also enjoyed his cottage in Sheridan and all who came to help him enjoy it. He was a jokester and had a contagious smile. He never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into his circle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his oldest son, Trent D. (Chip) Geldersma in 2017. Surviving are his two daughters, Michele R. Zuidema (Martin), Lisa L. Lotterman (Randy); twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
