Timothy Pomorski

February 21, 1964 — October 10, 2020

Tim Pomorski, age 56, of Wyoming, Michigan passed away in the afternoon on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Tim was born February 21, 1964, in Grand Rapids, MI to Thomas Pomorski and Donna Fields. He married the love of his life, Renee Sue Pantelin on July 26, 1986, in Grand Rapids. Tim was an auto mechanic and business owner for most of his career. He was a positive leader for his Kelloggsville community as he served on the school board in various leadership roles for 13 years. He is remembered for his love of family and friend gatherings, auto racing, family RV trips, and country concerts. Tim was a quiet and humble man with an infectious laugh. His laughter would fill the room and warm your soul. He lived a life of service to anyone he met regardless of ability to repay the favor. His legacy is his family demonstrated by his actions. Honoring Tim would be honoring his work. He is preceded in death by his Stepfather, Robert "Bob" McCauley. Tim is survived by his one and only sweetheart of 40 years and wife of 34 years, Renee Pomorski; daughters, Haley (Matt Batson) Pomorski and Krista Pomorski (Dan Scharrer); grandson, Nolan Bodo; parents, Donna McCauley and Tom Pomorski; brother, John (Kim) Pomorski; and many nieces and nephews as well as countless loving friends. His wings were ready, but our hearts were not. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 208, 133 44TH Street S.E., Kentwood. Official service will begin at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to the family who are in the process of starting a scholarship fund in Tim's honor at Kelloggsville High School. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
