Timothy Ellis

Timothy Michael Ellis, age 79, of Hartland, passed away at the Michigan Veteran Homes at Grand Rapids on Friday, July 26, 2024. He was born on March 21, 1945, in Detroit, to John & Ruth Ellis. Tim married Marsha Stahl on April 4th, 1970. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was stationed on the USS McCaffrey and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal prior to being honorably discharged in 1967. Tim worked at Plastomer Corporation, was a proud business owner of The Coffee Beanery, worked as a produce manager at Fresh Seasons Market and quoted for Livingston Gutter. He enjoyed working outside, riding his motorcycle with friends, going on trips, watching football and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Ellis; children, Savannah Henlin (Garnet Henlin); grandchildren, Accalia Henlin (A'Shaun Henlin, Alique Henlin, Alex Henlin); sibling, Ron Ellis (Marilyn Ellis) He is preceded in death by John and Ruth Ellis. Committal services will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, HOLLY, at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Military Honors will be rendered by the U.S. Navy.
