Thomas Harris Terrell, age 61, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek. The son of Harland & Clarabelle (Allison) Terrell, he was born on Aug. 30, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana. Tom was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Army, and had been employed as a mechanic for Knouse Foods in Paw Paw. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Crandall; a granddaughter, Brittney Crandall, both of Traverse City; his siblings, Timothy Terrell of California, Kathy (Don) Overacker of Mattawan, Lorrie Terrell, and Kelly Beach, all of Paw Paw; and many nieces and nephews. Committal services, with military honors, are at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta (please gather at the procession staging area at 2:15 p.m.).
