Thomas Petersen

Thomas Fredrick Petersen, age 69, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home. The son of Leslie F. & Florence (Crosbie) Petersen, he was born on November 11, 1943 in Spencer Township and was a graduate of Greenville High School. Tom retired from the former Electrolux Home Products in Greenville after 40 years of service, had been a member of U.A.W. Local 137, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Leslie Petersen. Surviving are his son, David Edward Petersen of Greenville; three grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Petersen, David Edward Petersen II, both of Fenwick, and Preston David Petersen of Greenville; and many special cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with his cousin, Virgil Packard, officiating. Honoring Tom's wishes, no visitation will be held and burial will take privately at South Sidney Cemetery.
