Thomas Payne

Thomas Allen Payne Sr., age 69, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Nina; grandson, Shane Cole Denslow Jr.; parents, Alfred and Marion (Hammer) Payne; siblings, Alfred (Sonny) Payne, Ken Payne, Roger (Butch) Payne, and Ron Payne. Tom is survived by his son, Tom Jr. (Amy) Payne, of Wyoming, MI; daughter, D'Andra (Shane) Denslow, of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Marion Shook, Marcia Payne, and Ardith Payne; the joys of his life... his granddaughters, Meghan Payne, Abigail Payne, Zoe Payne, N'Eveah Denslow, and Khaleesi Denslow; his great-grandson, Bentley Scheck; a great-granddaughter due in October; and his special friend, Judy Zimmerman. Tom was a Marine Corps Veteran and a patriot who loved his country. He was active at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where he had many friends, and Vietnam Veterans of America, and was passionate to his commitment to Veteran's causes. Tom was the loving uncle to countless nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and was the guy everyone turned to for a shoulder or a hand. He will be sorely missed by many. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4201 Burlingame Ave. S.W., Wyoming, where a luncheon will take place after the service.
