Thomas Kerr

Thomas Richard Kerr, age 87, of Hudsonville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023. He was born September 15, 1935, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late Charles and Helen (Chickering) Kerr. Tom graduated from Godwin High School with the class of 1953. He went on to apprentice in Tool and Die making at Grand Rapids Junior College and Major Tool and Die. Eventually obtaining his Associates Degree in Business from Davenport College. Tom worked at Enterprise Die and Mold for Over 25 years, eventually becoming an owner in the business. Tom was able to retire early and enjoy his lifelong passion for hunting, fishing and traveling around the globe. He especially loved relaxing and enjoying life at the cabin. On October 6, 1956, Tom married the love of his life, Marva Jean Hill, in Grand Rapids. Together they celebrated over 66 years of marriage. Tom is survived by Marva; his two sons, Kerry and Curtis; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Rachael, Morgan, Brian and Stacey; and 4 great-grandchildren Kian, Maci, Gabriel and Cora. Per Tom's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tom's life and legacy will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Sunnybrook Country Club, 624 Port Sheldon Street SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
