Thomas Huttema

Thomas A. Huttema age 56 of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, March 1 2011 and went to be with his Lord after a brief and courageous battle with leukemia. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Ardith Huttema in 2004. He will be lovingly remembered by his father, Ken Huttema; siblings; Kathy (Frank) Hessel, Mike Huttema, Pam (Rick) Stonehouse, Nancy Hoffman, and Todd (Rebecca) Huttema; many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved cat, Coal. Tom was a very kind and caring person... with a unique sense of humor. Over the past 30 years he worked in several different states as Registered Nurse -- most recently at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, where many of his co-workers were also dear friends. There will be an informal gathering for family and friends to celebrate Tom's life from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Georgetown Christian Fellowship Church, 3668 Port Sheldon Street, Hudsonville. Honoring Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private services will be held at a later date.
