Thomas Horton

Thomas G. Horton, 81, of Grand Rapids, passed away evening Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the Samaritas Senior Living Grand Rapids Lodge. The son of Charles & Bernice (Cronkright) Horton, he was born July 12, 1936 in Grand Rapids, where he spent over 30 years teaching and being an administrator within Kelloggsville Public Schools. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Sally Horton; children, Kenneth & Trena Horton, Kimberly Brewer & Paul Cares, Kip & Elizabeth Horton; sister, Bette Nelson; grandchildren, Kayla, Rebecca, Victoria, Madelyn, Amorelle, Kelvin, and Kody, and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Thomas' memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Private family services will be held in the spring.
