Thomas Grosser

Thomas Grosser, age 65, of Grand Rapids, walked into the loving arms of the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. The son of Frank & Dolores (Tissler) Grosser, he was born on August 5, 1951 in Detroit. Tom was a veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving with the U.S. Army, and was a long-time resident of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, where he was passionate about serving as an advocate for many residents who could not speak for themselves. Tom had a kind and compassionate heart and will be greatly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his daughter, Ann Marie Grosser & Tim Smith; sister, Marie & David Wilson; nieces, Angie & Doug Potter, Becky & Andy Miller, and Megan Wilson; and grandniece, Alayna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the Chapel of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, 3000 Monroe Ave. N.E., Grand Rapids. Committal services, with military honors, will take place at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 W. Dickman Rd., Augusta.
