Thomas E Greenfield

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Thomas Eugene Greenfield, who left us on March 27th, 2026, at the age of 80.

Thomas was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a person whose kindness and strength touched everyone who knew him. Born on April 10, 1945, in Grand Rapids MI, he grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a spirit of adventure that stayed with him throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (VanDam) Greenfield; his children, Sandra Greenfield (Lance Ebenstein), Brenda Mays (Kirk Mays), James Greenfield (Missy) and Matthew Greenfield (Rachel); 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and life-long friend Bill Biemers.

He was preceded in death by William and Eleanor (Case) Greenfield - parents, Ronald (and Val) Greenfield - brother and sister-in-law (Texas), infant sister Patrica Greenfield. His family was the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in the moments spent together.

Thomas had a passion for motorcycles and fast cars, and he loved spending time hunting and fishing. Some of his most cherished experiences were the trips he made out west on his hunting adventures, where he found both peace and excitement in the great outdoors of Wyoming hunting mule deer and antelope.

He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his steady guidance, and the countless ways he made life better for those around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Cremation has taken place and the family will be gathering privately to honor and celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the MS foundation.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the love he gave us and the memories we will carry forever.
