Thomas Blade Jr., age 64, of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at St. Mary's Health Care in Grand Rapids. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda; children, Thomas (Maya) Blade III, Kourtney Blade, Andrea (William) Webb, Karena Blade, Cherie Blade; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; mother, Margaret Blade; eight brothers, six sisters, several nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends. He loved to fish and was a retiree of Sara Lee Corp. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1320 36th Street S.E., Grand Rapids. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
