Theroldyne Cassell

Theroldyne Betty Cassell, age 91, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Michigan. The daughter of Glen & Pearl (Rhodes) Spicer, she was born on September 11, 1930 in Kent County. On September 25, 1948, she married Donald Charles Gilmore and together they raised five children. Betty worked outside in the home in several factories over the years, but took great delight in her last job as a Foster Grandparent at Walnut Hills Elementary School in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents; the former husband, Donald C. Gilmore; nine brothers and sisters; and a grandson. Surviving are her children, Linda & Larry Unverzagt of Godfrey, Illinois, Dee & Danny McClain of Manistique, Charles "Happy" & Cheryl Gilmore of Ionia, Deb Williams of Arizona, and Rebecca & Darrell Sherman of Greenville; twenty-one grandchildren; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Roxie.
