Theodore Vasilakis

Mr. Theodore Vasilakis, age 78, of Waterford, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 15, 2007 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The son of Greek immigrants, he was born on Feb. 12, 1928 in Detroit. With World War II at its' height, he cut short his education and enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served as a Fireman First Class. After returning home, he owned and operated a haberdashery (men's clothing store) in Detroit for many years. Surviving are his wife, Christell Louise (Robertson) Vasilakis. Private services will be held and arrangements were entrusted to the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville.
