Terry Gordon

Terry Lee Gordon, Sr., 68, passed away Saturday June 8th, 2019, at at home under the care of Spectrum Health Hospice with his family at his side. Born on July 13th, 1950 in Muskegon, he was the son of Harold and Myrtle (Bissell) Gordon. He had been a resident of Newaygo. Terry was a Marine veteran who proudly protected and served his country, having earned the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. Following his career as a truck driver, he enjoyed frequenting flea markets, bowling, camping, and spending time with his family. On June 11, 2010 he married Diane L. Posthumus. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Sarah & Charles Kimmel, Carol & James Rickett, and Delberta Gordon. He is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Tina & Bobby Porter of Newaygo, Mindy Gordon of Fruitport, and Terry Gordon Jr. of Muskegon; step-children, Amber Garza of Grand Haven, Crystal Gordon of Newaygo, and Thomas O'Riley Larson of Newaygo; 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers, Eugene & Barbie Gordon, Abe & Lisa Gordon, Merle Gordon, Raymond & Rhonda Gordon, Chris Gordon, and Michael Spencer; sister, Bonnie & Rick Cast. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M., at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E. Keating Ave, Muskegon, 49442, and military honors will conclude the service. Following the service, a luncheon with the family will be held at the VFW, 5201 Airline Road, Muskegon, 49444.
