Suzette Hawkins

Suzette Marie Hawkins, age 44, of Greenville, died unexpectedly on December 31, 2018 at her home. The daughter of Deborah (Swanchara) & Donald Hawkins, she was born on January 24, 1974 in St. Johns and attended Ovid-Elsie Public Schools. Suzette earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ferris State University, she worked for over a decade at Spectrum Health-United Hospital, and was employed as a registered nurse at DaVita Greenville Dialysis. Suzette enjoyed playing softball, league bowling, snow skiing, mountain biking, and physical fitness, but found her greatest joy spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her four daughters, Marissa and Megan Murphy and Samantha and Sadie Ploughman, all of Greenville; three grandchildren, Rozalyn Lower, Adalynn Bignell, and Rhyzer Dombrowski -- with a fourth grandchild, Tucker, due in early February. Also surviving are her mother, Debbie Swanchara of Langston; her father and step-mother, Don & Cindy Hawkins of Carson City; eight sisters and brothers, Jeanette & Ken Mayer of Florida, Misty Hawkins of Muir, Charla Earl of Carson City, Donald Hawkins, Jr. of North Carolina, Shannon Hawkins of Ionia, Dustin Hawkins of Crystal, Dena Hawkins of Carson City, Krystle Swanchara of Muir; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Private family services will be held. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to her daughters. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
