Susan Walcott

Susan L. Walcott, age 82, passed away on December 23, 2020 at Pilgrim Manor. Susan was born on May 13, 1938 in Muskegon, MI to LeRoy(Lee) and Elnora B. Morse. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Kline of Portage, MI, her nephews, Mike (Diane) Field of Buffalo, NY, Tim(Kristi) Field of Grand Rapids, her cousins, Jim(Linda) Schwass of Williamsburg, MI and Joanne Lamar of Holland, MI. Susan earned a teaching degree from Hope College in Holland, MI and early in her career she taught English at a girl's academy in Istanbul, Turkey. She spent the rest of her teaching career with the Grand Rapids Public Schools retiring in 1993. An important part of Susan's life was her active involvement in Plymouth United Church of Christ where she was a choir member and served as a liturgist. Susan had a large circle of friends that together enjoyed Civic Theater productions and performances by the Grand Rapids Symphony.
