Susan Jane Castle

Susan Jane Castle, age 79, of Newaygo, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at home under the loving care of her family and Harmony Hospice. The daughter of Steven & Arlene Ruth (Carrier) Pavlovic, she was born on May 29, 1947 in Fremont. On November 5, 1966, she married Lawrence Earl Castle, and together they enjoyed over thirty-six years of marriage.

Susan was a graduate of Grant Public Schools and enjoyed playing Skip-Bo, Euchre, and Bingo. She was an outgoing and loving person and treasured her time with her kids and grandkids above all else.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Pavlovic; and her husband, Lawrence Earl Castle. Surviving are her sister, Deborah Graham; three daughters, Melinda Yoder, Sharlene (Ron) Johnson, and Cheri Acosta; a son, Richard (Rachel) Castle; a step-son, Adam (Staci) Pletcher; eleven grandkids; and fourteen great-grandkids.

Honoring Susan’s wishes, no funeral or memorial services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate a life well lived.
