Sue Swartz

October 27, 1955 — February 17, 2025

Sue Anne Swartz (Lootens), age 69, of Roscommon, Michigan, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born October 27, 1955, in Owosso, Michigan, to Birdsell and Ida (Kropp) Moore. She worked many years as a certified nurses aide. Sue had been blind since 1995 but that did not stop her from enjoying life. She had an odd sense of humor only her loved ones and friends seemed to appreciate. I can recall countlessly, being silly with her and laughing until our cheeks and belly hurt. Sue loved to gather with her family and enjoyed the simple things in life, such as attending church and playing the piano, and her companion cats. She carried a carefree, positive attitude and would sacrifice endlessly to help those in need around her. This world is a little less brighter without her. Survivors include her three children, Ray (Mandy) Lootens, John (Amy) Lootens, and Crystal(Brandon) Kelley; grandchildren, Reese (Jack) Coker, Regan Temple, Landon Kelley, Liam Kelley, Laikynn Kelley and Bryce Sharrow; and sisters, Beverly Medford and Patricia Nimeth. Sue was preceded in death by her first husband of 18 years, Jerome Lootens; her second husband, Daniel Swartz; her mother and father, Ida and Birdsell Moore; and brothers, David Moore, Joseph Moore, Burt Moore, Paul Moore, and Luke Moore. Per Sue’s wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date and details will be announced as soon as they become available. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given on Sue's GoFundMe page.
