Stewart Kern

Stewart James Kern, age 70, of Hopkins, Michigan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. He was born December 12, 1952, in Allegan, to the late Melvin and Lois (Raab) Kern. Stewart graduated from Hopkins High School with the class of 1971. Stewart attended WMU. Retired from Meijer and was employed as a stock clerk while there. Stewart was an avid reader and was interested in music, classic movies and tv shows. He collected eclectic vintage items. He was known as a kind person with a quick wit. Survivors include his brother, Bradley Kern, sisters, Barb (Chuck) Wamhoff, Ruth (Larry) Cook; sister-in-law, Sandy (Greg) Kern; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Lois (Raab) Kern and brothers, Daniel Kern and Greg Kern. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time.
