Steven Ray Tiffany, age 45, formerly of Greenville, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 4, 2006 at his home near Bitely after suffering an apparent heart attack. The son of Richard Lee & JoAnn (Rollings) Tiffany, he was born on July 6, 1961 in Terre Haute, Indiana. A graduate of Lansing Community College, Steve worked as a truck driver for Genmar Transportation Inc. On June 18, 1982, at Harvard, he married Teri L. Troyer. He enjoyed the outdoors and was devoted to reforestation efforts. Each spring and fall he planted countless seedings. He also enjoyed racing, having raced cars on drag, stock, and dirt tracks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Dick Tiffany on Nov. 19, 2004; his brother, Kevin Lee Tiffany on Nov. 16, 2006; a niece, Ashley Rae Tiffany on Jan. 25, 2003; and his father-in-law, Harold Telfor on Dec. 5, 2006.
Surviving are his wife, Teri L. Tiffany of Bitely; their three children, Joshua & Paula Tiffany of Florence, Mississippi, Matthew Tiffany of St. Louis, and Andrew Tiffany of Bitely; three grandchildren, Tony, Kayla, and Katrisha Murillo; his mother, JoAnn Tiffany of Greenville; two sisters, Kim & Jim Arnold of Mt. Pleasant, and Shannon Tiffany & Tim Wotring of Sidney; grandparents-in-law, Rev. John & Rev. Marilyn Weed; siblings-in-law, Deja & Mark Hollerback, Valerie & Craig Harper, Dana & Laurie Telfor, and Joe Telfor; uncles and aunts, Myron & Bonnie Tiffany of Greenville, Mary Lou & Bob Brown of Greenbriar, Arkansas, Donna & Rick Snow of Greenville, and Patty & Mike Patton of Gowen; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 from the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with the Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of the First Congregational Church, officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
