Steven Rice

Steven Lynn Rice, 76, formerly of Niangua, MO, passed away at home with family in Perrinton, on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Steve was born October 14, 1946, in Reed City, later pursuing service in the United States Navy and then the Waste Water Treatment Plant for the City of East Lansing, both of which he was very proud. In the summer of 1990, he met the love of his life; he and Diana were married and created their blended family on April 20, 1991. Anyone who met Steve quickly recognized his wit, humor, and love for his family. He was an avid golfer and MSU supporter. He loved fishing and enjoyed quiet mornings out on the water. Always a leader, you didn't spend time around him without learning something. Steve leaves behind a loving family - wife, Diana, four children, seven grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, as well as siblings and other family members - and has gone to join his Lord and Savior in heaven, where he will wait for the rest of us to join him.
