Steven Hatfield

Steven Paul Hatfield, age 55, of Grand Junction, passed away with family by his side on Thursday, April 19, 2018. The son of Carl & Beverly (Rhoades) Hatfield, he was born on May 31, 1962 in Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his mother Beverly Ann Hatfield, father Carl Hatfield, and niece Nikki Hatfield. Steven is survived by his three children, Maria Hatfield of Wyoming, Tonya Russel of Greenville and Steven Hatfield Jr. of Grand Rapids, Seven siblings: David and Ann Hatfield of Grand Junction Mi., Vicky and Otto Kaman of Wyoming, Debra and Steven Herring of Beaverton Mi., Laurie Thomas and Leo of Baldwin, Sherrie Hatfield and Chad of Ohio, Mike Hatfield and Crystal of Grand Rapids, Tim Hatfield of Grand Rapids, his former wife Dawn Hatfield of Texas, six grandchildren, 22 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Steve was an avid reader. He loved listening to music, Elvis and country oldies were his favorites. He had pet rabbits he liked taking care of and working in the yard. Steve was a giving person and was always helping those who were less fortunate. When he heard stories from his sister-in-law Ann about the needs at Love INC he always wanted to help. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. SE, Wyoming. A memorial service, with full military honors, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday in the Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care Chapel.
