Stanley Bennett

Stanley Roy Bennett, age 62, of Hubbardston, passed away Monday morning, March 19, 2018 at his home under the loving care of his family and Sparrow Home Hospice. The son of Bertha Mae (White) & James Albert Bennett, Sr., he was born on September 17, 1955 in Ionia. For almost 20 years Stan worked in maintenance at American Bumper in Ionia and enjoyed listening to old country and western music, mowing his lawn, and was a master "tinkerer", but most of all he delighted in time spent with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Maggie Spain; and a brother, John Bennett. Surviving are two daughters, Angela & Jim Shively of Perry, and Amy Bennett of Carson City; a son, Adam & Bobbie Bennett of Carson City; five grandchildren, Danielle Ward, Tori Vaughn, Lukas Vaughn, Jakob Bennett, and Payton Bennett; a great granddaughter, Lylah Bratcher; four sisters, Carol Oyler, Nickie Bennett, Debbie Hagadus, and Sue Trumble; two brothers, James Bennett, Jr. and Alan Bennett; and many nieces and nephews. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life gathering is being planned for a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, Greenville.
